Benvenuti a Toscana (Welcome to Tuscany!)
The Tuscan Countryside was a beautiful escape from the major cities that we had visited thus far on our tour. It had a natural beauty with its vineyards and rolling hilltops beyond. And the farmhouse that we stayed in was really homey and comfortable. The best food we had on the entire trip by far was while staying in Tuscany. Even to this day my mouth waters as I think of the distinct flavors that accompanied their courses made with the most simple ingredients.

Tuscan Cooking DemoOn our first night before dinner, we were invited to join the Chef in the kitchen to learn how to make Tuscan Cuisine. We watched with interest as she demonstrated how to make a Tuscan Quiche and Eggplant Parmigianna.

The Accommodations
Beyond the wonderful food that we ate, the accommodations were lovely. They made us feel welcome the moment we arrived. Our room was large, the size of a suite with eat-in kitchen, bedroom and bath. Right in the entryway was a bar with snacks to hold us over until dinner-time. And outside was a pool and sitting area to relax and take in the Tuscan countryside. The dining area was really welcoming too.
